Flock of Snow Geese Taking Off, Long Exposure, Skagit Valley, Washington

A long exposure captures the motion of a large flock of snow geese (Chen caerulescens) taking off from a field at sunset in the Skagit Valley of Washington state. Snow geese, which breed in the northern reaches of Canada, Alaska, Greenland and Sibera, winter throughout the United States and into Mexico.
